Removing White Marks from Kitchen Table

Description: Remove white marks from your kitchen table with these tips from our readers.

Sponsors:

Q: My kitchen table looks horrible. I have white marks all over it. I think from putting a hot dish on it. (thanks to hubby)...Is there any way of fixing this without sanding it down and refinishing???

Tip #1: Try cleaning it with a 1/2 and 1/2 mixture of toothpaste and baking soda. White toothpaste. Scrub untill its gone. Apply lemon oil after. If you can get the marks off I would suggest buying furniture wax it comes in a paste and will help protect your table top.

Tip #2: Pour oil (cooking, olive, etc.) and shake salt over the white spot. Leave for 10 - 20 minutes. Then wipe off. Repeat, if necessary.
