Making a Small Indoor Pond is Fun and Easy
Description: Tips for creating an indoor pond.

Any good quality, plastic container of about 10 inches in depth will do the job. The container should be at least 24 inches wide and 36 inches long (plastic storage containers work great).
Surround the container with flat rocks which have been washed thoroughly. The last layer of rocks should cover the top edge of the container.
Use a 75 - 140 gallon per hour pump to circulate the water. This pump can be used for a small waterfall in the corner of the pond or to power a small fountain.
Add a few aquatic plants that have been planted in aquatic planting medium. Louisiana Iris, Dwarf Cattail, Dwarf Bamboo and small Rushes and Reeds are good varieties for this purpose.
One or two small goldfish can survive in this
pond. A grow light may be necessary if the pond is not near a sunny window.
Add a few plants in Terra Cotta pots around the back edge of the little pond for a natural backdrop.
Now you have a little bit of nature inside the house to enjoy!
