In an effort to make all my own household cleaners, I needed to find a good window and glass cleaning solution. There are many great DIY window cleaners out there. This blogger tested out several different recipes with a variety of different ingredients. I decided to try one of them and was very happy with the results.

In addition to having your glass and windows clean, you want them streak free, right? Well this homemade cleaner does both of those things.

I have been using this cleaner for several months now and will not go back to buying Windex when I have this healthier, less expensive alternative.

Glass Cleaner Ingredients

  • 1/4 c. rubbing alcohol
  • 1/4 c. white vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 2 c. warm water

Combine all ingredients together in an empty spray bottle and give it a little shake. You will need to shake it a little with each use if you see cornstarch at the bottom of the bottle.

The secret ingredient of this cleaner is the cornstarch. I don’t know why it works, but it does! The total cost for this bottle of DIY glass cleaner is less than $.50. You just can’t beat that.
