DIY Furniture Polish

This homemade furniture polish is easy to make from a couple of ingredients that you may already have on hand. It works just like Pledge to give your wood furniture a brilliant shine.

2 tbsp. olive oil
1 tbsp. lemon juice or white vinegar

Mix the olive oil and lemon juice or vinegar together in a small jar and apply to your wood furniture in very small amounts with a microfiber cloth. A little bit goes a long way. You can use either white vinegar or lemon juice, but the lemon juice gives it a great lemon smell.

You can easily double this recipe, just remember to have two parts oil to one part lemon juice or vinegar. However, you don't want to make more than you are going to use in a couple of weeks or the olive oil will eventually become rancid.

You can store the furniture polish in any small container. I found these great decorative canning jars at Walmart. They are jelly jars that you can get in the canning section. It is about $5 for 4 jars. They are perfect for this type of use.
