Did you accidentally leave your pen from work inside your clothing when you went to wash it? This happens to many people, but there is always a way to remove the stain. Read the following instructions to get rid of a pen stain on clothing, furniture, or even carpet.

There are a few things you need to have on hand to get started with removing the stain. First gather together hair spray, rubbing alcohol, or even nail polish remover, a clean cloth or paper towels, and laundry pretreatment. The first step in removing the pen stain is to sponge the stain with water to remove as much of the ink as you can. Next, allow the spot to dry. After the stain is dried, set the stain face down on a clean cloth or paper towels. Spray the back side of the stain with hairspray, rubbing alcohol, or nail polish remover, whichever is easier to have at hand. After you spray the stain with the above removers, grab a clean washcloth and remove the stain as much as possible. After the stain is mostly removed, use laundry pretreatment so the stain will remove while you put the item in the washer. Wash the clothing is warm water and let air dry when finished. Following those easy steps will make your day better and will remove the pen stain! Simple and easy as that!

If you don't have any laundry pretreatment on hand, here are some easy steps to follow in order to make some. Have these things on hand in order to make the laundry pretreatment:

1. One half cup vinegar
2. One half cup ammonia
3. One half cup laundry detergent
4. One half cup water

After you have gathered these objects, mix all the liquids together in a spray bottle. After it is mixed you can spray the detergent on your clothing or stain before you put it in the wash.
