How to Clean Textured Ceilings

Description: Reader tips for cleaning textured ceilings in your home.

Tip #1: Do you have a feather duster? If you do but is it too short attach it to an old broom handle or the like and use it to go over the ceilings etc. or if you have a long handled broom wrap a soft piece of cloth around it and secure it 'sweep' your ceilings and then launder the cloth.

Tip #2: I have the same problem when we start up the wood burner each Fall. I purchase a new broom (so it's clean) and use it to "sweep" the ceiling. Much faster than using the vacuum and that way I get a new broom each Fall!

Tip #3: A swiffer duster works real well also.
