6 large apples 2/3 cup sugar 2 tablespoons butter |
2 egg whites Grated rind of 1 lemon or 1 teaspoon lemon flavoring |

Instructions: |
Peel and quarter the apples, add sugar and butter and cook over low heat until done. Then put through a colander and add the beaten egg whites. Put into a baked crust, sprinkle bread crumbs and chopped nuts on top, and set in oven for a few minutes.
