2 eggs 1/2 c. sugar 1 c. thick sour cream 3 c. flour |
1 t. nutmeg 1/3 t. soda 1 1/2 t. baking powder 1/2 t. salt |

Beat eggs until thick; add sugar and sour cream. Beat well. Sift remaining dry ingredients together. Add to first mixture to make soft dough. More flour may be needed if dough is very sticky and is to be rolled and cut immediately. If not used at once, chill overnight or several hours. Roll our dough, small portions at a time, 1/4 inch thick, using very little flour. Preheat oil. Fry a few at a time. Remove when brown; sprinkle with floured sugar. |
