Instructions: |
Remove peel from 4 oranges (lengthwise sections), cover with cold water, bring to boiling and cook slowly until soft. Drain, scrape white part from peel with spoon and cut peel into thin strips with scissors.
Put 1 c. sugar, 1/2 c. water, and orange peel in saucepan. Cook peel slowly until clear (230 degrees F). Drain in sieve, cool, and roll in granulated sugar. |
