4 cups sauerkraut
2 tablespoons oatmeal
8 links sausages or 1-1/2 pounds sausage made into patties |
1/2 cup water
3 cups mashed potatoes
1/4 cup grated cheese |

Instructions: |

Put sauerkraut in greased casserole. Sprinkle oatmeal through it. Top with sausage; add water. Cover and bake for 2-3 hours at 350 degrees, (Uncover last hour for sausage to brown.) Cover with mashed potatoes after 3 hours. Sprinkle with cheese and bake until cheese is melted. |
