I have to admit that I don't often go to Olive Garden. It is definitely not in our monthly budget. I have, however, been there enough times to appreciate their salad dressing. It is really good! I was really excited when I ran across this copycat recipe. My family gave it a thumbs up.
Ingredients:
1/2 c. mayonnaise
1/3 c. white vinegar
1 tsp. vegetable oil
2 Tbsp. corn syrup
2 Tbsp. Parmesan cheese
1/4 tsp. garlic salt
1/2 tsp. Italian seasoning
1/2 tsp. parsley flakes
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
If you don't have a container for your salad dressing, you can get a salad dressing cruet for free when you buy two packages of Good Seasoning Italian dressing mix. It is only a couple of dollars for the whole set.
Place all the ingredients into a medium sized bowl and stir with a whisk. Pour into salad dressing cruet.
Note: I tried just mixing everything together in the cruet but it is necessary to use the whisk to dissolve the mayonnaise.
This salad dressing can be stored in the refrigerator for several weeks.
This dressing has a really great taste. It tastes like Italian dressing, but the added ingredients really give it something special, just like the original Olive Garden dressing.
