Mouth Watering Turkey Gravy Recipe
by KC Kudra

There is not a single person who will not have their mouth watering when they hear the term turkey gravy recipe. In their mind, they will be flooded with memories of Grandma's holiday delight and the bird and all the trimmings that went along with it. The warm and savory liquid is just something a person never forgets.

It is because of this, that we put an extra effort into creating the turkey gravy recipe every year. Either by using our own hand me down batch, or creating a unique and delightful new creation for a chance, there is little doubt that your guests will be very interested in what you will be serving them. It is with that in mind that we take a moment to consider some important points.

First, always check the consistency of this condiment. Never make it too thick where it lumps out onto a plate, while you avoid making it so thin that it is more of a drink, rather than a topping. This may take a little practice, so start your batch making early and build up the experience you need for the perfect product.

In addition to this, you will need to do your best to avoid lumps. While many people will claim there is a secret method to this process, it is really quite simple. All you need to do to make this happen is simply boil the liquid and then slowly add in the flour. While you are doing this, whisk it quickly and you should end up with a smooth and even textured final product.

Another important thing to remember is that you can customize any recipe you find. Just take the time to look over the ingredients and think about what would blend well with them and enhance the flavors you are looking for. That way, you end up with a delicious final product that takes your meal to the next level, without a lot of extra work. In this recipe, you might consider exchanging white wine for red to give it a bolder flavor, depending on your taste.

  • Pan drippings
  • 1/2 cup white wine

How to Make It:

In a saucepan begin to cook down the butter and begin making a paste with a little bit of flour. It should become fairly thick, keeping in mind that the more it cooks, the darker your gravy will be.
