My daughter sent me a photo of these elf donuts, and I had to make them for Santa's elves this year. They are so cute and take just a few minutes to make. Besides the Snowman on a Stick, this is one of the most fun things we did this holiday season.
To make them you will need:
- Honey or Nutella
- Skewers (optional)
To make the elf donuts you just have to dip them in something sticky so that the sprinkles will stick to them. You could use Nutella, or honey, or anything else you can think of.
If you place the Cheerios on a skewer they are easier to hold onto and the sprinkles don't get stuck in the holes in the Cheerios.
My boys got a big kick out of these and my 5-year-old really enjoyed helping make them. You can leave them on a plate with Santa's cookies so that his elves will have a snack too.
