I was really excited when I saw this recipe for cookie cutter fruit salad. What a great idea! I just had to try this for myself. I thought this would make a great fruit salad for a Fourth of July picnic.
I have seen a lot of fun red and blue fruit ideas for the Fourth of July. This idea is really creative because they used a star-shaped cookie cutter to cut out the watermelon pieces in the fruit bowl.
To make watermelon stars, you just need to cut slices of watermelon that are approximately the same width as your cookie cutter.
Lay the watermelon slice in front of you and carefully press your star-shaped cookie cutter into the watermelon. That's it, it's that easy!
You can add any kind of fruit you want to your festive fruit salad, blueberries, sliced strawberries, pineapple chunks, and canteloupe would all be great.
