Pumpkin Apple Stamps
I'm always on the lookout for quick, easy autumn crafts for kids. These pumpkin apple stamps are a fun, easy preschool activity for fall or Halloween, although it would also be fun for kids of any age.
For this craft activity you will need:
- Large apple
- Orange craft paint
- Green craft paint
- Paint brush
- Cup of water
- White paper
- Black construction paper or Sharpie
- Glue stick
- Paper plate
Help your child cut the apple in half vertically. This will give you two halves that cam be used for stamps.
Next place some orange and green craft paint on a paper plate.
Dip an apple half in orange paint and help your child press it onto the white paper. Repeat for as many pumpkins as your child would like to make.
Use the paint brush to paint green stems on the pumpkins.
Let the paintings dry for 30 minutes or so to let the paint dry before trying to do the faces.
There are a couple of different ways to do the faces. You can use a black Sharpie marker to draw them on, or you can cut eyes, noses, and mouths out of black construction paper and use a glue stick to glue the pieces on the pumpkins. Your child will have fun mixing and matching the pieces to design custom faces.
