Valentine's Day Placemat

These fun placemats are really easy to make from your children's Valentine's Day cards that they received from their friends. It is a great way to keep their Valentine's Day cards while putting them to good use too.

To make this Valentine's Day placemat you will need:

  • Valentine's Day cards
  • Clear contact (shelf) paper
  • Scissors

To make these placemats you will need to purchase some clear contact or shelf paper. You can get a roll of it for a couple of dollars at Walmart.

Use the scissors to cut a piece of contact paper to be the desired size of the placemat. Cut another piece the same size to be the back of the placemat.

Next remove the backing from one of the pieces of contact paper and carefully place it sticky side up on the table. Have your child arrange his or her Valentine's Day cards on the contact paper.

Remove the backing off of the second piece of contact paper and carefully place it sticky side down on top of the Valentine's Day cards. Use the scissors to trim any uneven edges.
