Candy Coated Valentine's Day Popcorn
If you are looking for a fun easy treat to share with your family or friends for Valentine's Day, this great popcorn snack only takes a few ingredients and a couple of minutes to make.
- Air popped popcorn
- 2 cups white chocolate melts
- 2 cups conversation hearts
This popcorn is so easy to make. I didn't measure the popcorn, I just popped one batch of air popped popcorn.
Next melt the white chocolate melts (you could also use red or pink). Place them in a microwaveable bowl and heat in the microwave on high for 1 minute. Stir and then microwave for another 30 seconds. Mine were melted at this point, but if yours are not, stir again and microwave for another 30 seconds.
At this point you can add a couple of drops of flavoring to the melted chocolate if you want. You don't have to, but the plain melts don't have much flavor. I added a couple of drops of peppermint extract to mine.
Stir the melted chocolate into the popped popcorn. Gently stir in the conversation hearts and sprinkles. Pour onto a piece of waxed paper and let sit until the chocolate hardens. Store in an airtight container.
