Take a few clear glass jars or different sizes and shapes and fill them with anything interesting you could collect during your nature walk; this activity would be especially exciting for kids, who could compete with each other in creating the best looking jar.

Don't forget about tree branches - they can make one more striking accent in your fall home decor, especially those of unusual form or with colorful leaves and berries still attached. Put them in a tall vase or anything that can hold them, for example, an umbrella stand.
