A Basic Bedroom Cleaning List
by O Quinn

Description: Tips for establishing a routine for organizing and cleaning your bedroom.

The bedroom, the place you need to be the most comfortable, the most relaxed. The bedroom is where you sleep and if it’s not maintained and set up in order to allow you those restful hours then that needs to change.

Follow this basic cleaning list to keep your room a comforting place to be.

Daily - After you get out of the bed, air it for 15 minutes or more while you do other things.

Then make the bed and air the room by opening windows for about 30 minutes.

Clean up any clutter and hang up all clothing and/or put dirty laundry in laundry hampers.

Weekly - Wash the bedding. Sheets and pillowcases. I have pets so I do my comforter too. If you also have pets but don’t have a comforter you can throw in the wash get a lovely snuggly, washable blanket that they’ll be drawn to like moths instead of on your nice, expensive, dry clean only spread

Dust all surfaces and knickknacks.

Vacuum the room.

If you have mirrors give them a quick swipe with window cleaner.

Monthly - Vacuum under the bed. Clean windows (the inside).

Semi Annually - Move and vacuum under dressers and such. Flip mattresses. Store seasonal bedding and clothing (wash first). Purge clothing that is too small, irreparable, out of style (your style that is). Wash any curtains and throw rugs.

This is a basic bedroom upkeep list. Tweak it to fit your needs.
