As I have been looking for new mixes to make, I decided to try making my own brownie mix. It only takes a few minutes to make and then you can make brownies in a hurry, just like using a mix from the store.
To make this brownie mix, you will need:
Brownie Mix Recipe
- 8 c. sugar
- 6 c. flour
- 2 c. baking cocoa
- 1 1/2 tbsp. baking powder
- 1 tbsp. salt
Combine all the ingredients together and store in an airtight gallon sized container like this one. This mix will store for 6 months or more in your pantry. Here is the recipe to make the brownies:
- 2 1/4 c. brownie mix
- 2 eggs, lightly beaten
- 1/3 c. vegetable oil
- 2 tbsp. water
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/2 c. nuts (optional)
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Stir all ingredients together in a bowl. Mixture will be thick.
Spread brownie batter into a greased 8-inch baking dish. Bake for 30 minutes. Cool and cut into squares.
