How to Make Chocolate Pudding Mix
by

I recently found a recipe that calls for chocolate pudding mix. I put it on my grocery shopping list, then I realized that I probably already had the ingredients on hand to make my own pudding mix. It is very easy to make with just a few simple ingredients.

chocolate pudding mixTo make homemade chocolate pudding mix, you will need:

  • 3/4 c powdered milk
  • 7/8 c corn starch (1 cup minus 2 tablespoons)
  • 1 1/2 c sugar
  • 3/4 c cocoa powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Combine all the ingredients and store them in an airtight container. It fits perfectly in a quart sized canning jar.

To prepare the pudding, combine 2/3 cup chocolate pudding mix and 2 cups cold milk in a sauce pan, and whisk together. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and cook until thickened, stirring constantly. Cool.

To make pudding pops, all you need to do is spoon prepared chocolate pudding into popsicle molds and freeze.

Thanks to the Just a Pinch web site for this easy recipe.
