12/16/2004: "How to Pray for Your Children"

I have just started a great book I picked up at a yard sale called "How to Pray for Your Children", by Quin Sherrer and Ruthanne Garlock (also available from Amazon.com). It was written by a mom who raised her kids in the church, walked through a period of rebellion with each of them, and then watched them come back to their faith one by one. It is very inspiring and has a lot of great ideas on how to specifically "stand in the gap" for your kids and be their prayer warriors. It has also inspired me to start a prayer journal, which I'll touch more on later after I've had a chance to write down all my thoughts.

I too believe in the power of prayer. Do we just have to say our prayers daily for our kids? Is there anything more to this? Do let me know - thanks.
