04/19/2007: "Review: A Lady in Waiting"

I received a pleasant surprise in the mail yesterday...the premier issue of a new magazine called "A Lady in Waiting" edited by Rebekah Bentley.

Rebekah is a 22-yr-old who calls herself and other young women in this time of their lives "Ladies in Waiting", or young women who choose to stay at home with their families until they begin their own families.

This magazine's purpose is to encourage young Christian women to concentrate on their relationship with the Lord and develop life-long spiritual disciplines while they wait on the Lord to reveal to them the next phase of their lives. It is very uplifting and encouraging and is written from one young woman to another. Each issue also includes a "Titus Two Letter", a letter to young women from an older Christian woman.

This magazine is published quarterly and costs only $10 for a 1-year subscription. This would make a wonderful gift for a young Christian woman in your life. I plan to pass my copy along to my 19-yr-old daughter who is a college student.

To find out more information about "A Lady in Waiting" or to request a sample issue, visit:

They are also looking for advertisers and article submissions. Check it out!
