Book Review: Renovating Becky Miller
I've just finished reviewing a new book from Bethany House called "Renovating Becky Miller", a novel by Sharon Hinck.
Becky is a typical Christian wife and mom who tries to do too much. She's trying to balance her family, her job at her church, taking care of her mother-in-law, and renovating an old farm house.
A lot of moms will relate with this story. Becky made my head spin with everything going on in her life. I have to say that I have a lot less on my plate
But for those of you who run through life in a whirlwind, you will appreciate Becky's sense of humor and the situations she finds herself in. The author did a good job of intregrating the Christian life into the story. Even though Becky sometimes tries to do everything on her own and her way, she always ends up looking toward God to "rescue" her, which is how many of us live our lives!
If you're looking for a quick read (I read this one in a couple of days), you will enjoy it.
